Quick help for the Hub

The NHS Knowledge and Library Hub delivers simple searching to get you rapidly to the evidence you need. This page offers very short videos on how to complete key tasks. The “More” link provides an FAQ style alternative.

July 2026 saw some changes to where you find certain functions on the Hub. Your recent searches and things you have saved are available via the MyEBSCO button (located top right) once you are logged in. On login it will either be labelled Researcher or with your name if you previously added this to your MyEBSCO account. The videos on this page will be revised during July – content remains valid.

Most Hub users have access to a local team of specialist librarians who are happy to help with any questions. You can contact them via the Ask-a-librarian link on the Hub or find them on HLISD.

Once you are logged in using OpenAthens you can save articles or searches and come back to them later. Note – the location of these features has moved to the MyEBSCO / Researcher button top right once logged in.

Q. Is there a full guide to searching the Hub? A. An extensive collection of guides is available for EBSCO Discovery Service (the generic name for the Hub)	Q. How do I contact someone to help me? A.
