Our shared vision
NHS knowledge and library services staff play a business-critical role. They bring evidence to the fore and save considerable time for healthcare professionals, providing information to inform a myriad of decisions made each week.
Health Education England takes the strategic lead for NHS knowledge and library services in England, and is the steward of national investment in these services on behalf of the system. Knowledge for Healthcare sets strategic direction and policy to achieve an ambitious vision:
“NHS bodies, their staff, learners, patients and the public use the right knowledge and evidence, at the right time, in the right place, enabling high quality decision-making, learning, research and innovation to achieve excellent healthcare and health improvement.”
